Library

The Eastside Catholic School Library supports the academic work of our students and faculty by:

  • teaching research skills in grades 6-12
  • providing access to authentic resources
  • integrating technology into our curriculum
  • offering reference services
  • nurturing readers

The Eastside Catholic Library prepares students to succeed in their further academic pursuits, at the high school and college levels, and promotes reading as recreation. The Library embodies our Eastside Catholic touchstone challenging students to develop “a love of independent scholarship.”

The Eastside Catholic Library collection offers:

  • 10,000 print volumes
  • more than a dozen newspapers and popular magazines
  • six electronic encyclopedias and databases
  • 14 desktop computers and 18 laptop computers
  • data projector and white board for presentations

Eastside Catholic students and families have access to the library catalog, electronic encyclopedias and subscription databases, guidance on research, and reference links via Edline. Log in to your Edline account, open Academics under Contents, then open Eastside Catholic School Library.

To supplement the Eastside Catholic Library resources we recommend that all EC students acquire a King County Library card to take advantage of the extensive print and electronic collections of our excellent public libraries. For more information visit www.kcls.org.
