Tuition and Scholarships

Tuition

Tuition for the 2010-11 school year is $17,260. For families who qualify for tuition assistance, this cost will be reduced in accordance with their tuition assistance package.

In addition to tuition, the average student should expect extra expenses to run between $300 and $500 per year for both middle and high school. Aside from textbooks, expenses at Eastside Catholic are typical of most schools: lab fees, yearbook, etc. Additionally, current textbooks in good condition can be sold back to the bookstore. There is no charge for athletics at Eastside Catholic.

There is a $500 non-refundable enrollment fee for incoming students and transfer students. This fee is payable at the time of enrollment. There is an additional $25 application fee for prospective students. Returning students are charged a $350 non-refundable enrollment fee annually.

Tuition for the Options Program is $21,710 for the 2010-11 school year. Parents interested in the Options Program should request additional material describing the fees related to this special education program.

Tuition Assistance

Eastside Catholic is committed to making tuition affordable for students from all economic backgrounds through tuition assistance and scholarships. In 2009-10, Eastside Catholic awarded more than $1.7 million in tuition assistance and scholarships.

Tuition assistance awards are based on financial need, not on academic ability or excellence in extracurricular activities. Admission decisions are made independently and are in no way affected by tuition assistance applications. Grants awarded to students range from 7% to 80% of the total tuition cost.

Any qualified student who wants to attend Eastside Catholic School should complete an application, regardless of financial resources. Approximately 30% of our students receive tuition assistance.

The Family Guide to Financial Aid is available upon request from the Admission Office at 425-295-3001.

Tuition Assistance Application Process
  1. Parents must complete the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) with School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) online from the National Association of Independent Schools web site.
  2. When completing the PFS, parents will be required to submit verification documents online. This is a new procedure from last year. School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS) ensures confidentiality and security through their web site. For a complete understanding of document security through SSS go to www.sss.nais.org.
  3. SSS will evaluate application and documentation and issue a computerized Report of Parental Contribution to Eastside Catholic.

  5. Eastside Catholic’s Tuition Assistance Committee will review the SSS report and grants will be offered according to need and funds available. Grant awards will be sent on Friday, February 12 for high school and Friday, March 19 for middle school.
