PFSA

One of the things PFSA does best is to support Eastside Catholic's efforts to create a nurturing community. PFSA volunteers plan the First Friends Program for new students, the Freshmen Parent Potluck, the Mother/Daughter Fashion Show and Luncheon, Mother/Son Breakfast and Liturgy, Father/Son event, Father/Daughter Dinner and Dance and the Career Fair for sophomores and juniors. We also offer student enrichment grants and provide hospitality at various school events throughout the year. These events are enjoyable and create special memories for you and your child.

All parents are automatically members of PFSA and we do not have dues. However, to help underwrite the rising cost of PFSA activities and sponsor scholarships to the many events we plan, we ask each family to make a voluntary contribution.

All funds raised beyond the cost of sponsoring events are channeled back to the school in the form of student enrichment grants, which are determined and allocated by the PFSA Student Enrichment Committee. Faculty members submit applications for various spending proposals. The Committee then allocates funds based on whether the purchase will enrich and enhance the learning experience of the majority of students. Our endowments have enabled special assemblies, plays, interesting speakers and talented artists to visit our school. In addition, we have purchased equipment and books for use in most academic departments.
